Our puppy consultation: LupoMove® Puppy

Targeted prevention for the healthy development of your puppy

A dog’s first few months are crucial for its long-term health. Defects in muscles, bones and joints often develop gradually and go unnoticed for a long time. Our puppy consultation is a specially developed prevention program that uses targeted examinations, kinematic movement analyses and scientifically based diagnostics to help identify and prevent orthopaedic problems at an early stage.

Aims of the puppy consultation

  • Early detection of developmental disorders through precise gait analysis with the LupoGait system
  • Individual advice on exercise, nutrition & training for optimal growth promotion
  • Prevention of orthopaedic diseases such as hip dysplasia (HD), elbow dysplasia (ED) and other deformities
  • Long-term care & follow-up to optimally support growth

What can you expect in the puppy consultation?

1

Orthopaedic kinematic examination

We use professional structural, functional and kinematic examinations to analyze your puppy’s movement patterns. With the help of the LupoGait system, we recognize undesirable developments and stress asymmetries at an early stage in order to initiate preventive measures.

2

Individual advice

  • Optimal walking duration & movement recommendations
  • Sitting posture & movement patterns – recognizing deviations
  • Genetic behavior patterns and breed-specific characteristics

3

Recommendation for nutrition

  • Needs-based feeding for optimal growth
  • Individual adaptation depending on breed & activity level
  • Preventive nutritional strategies to support joint health

4

Documentation & follow-up

After the examination you will receive:

  • Long-term care through regular follow-up checks
  • Detailed veterinary report with all findings
  • Recommendations for exercise, husbandry & nutrition
  • Individual training plans, if necessary

The foundation for a healthy dog’s life

Because the first steps count – prevention starts in puppyhood

Your puppy is full of energy, a thirst for adventure and curiosity. This sensitive development phase lays the foundation for their long-term health. What many dog owners don’t know: Defects in the musculoskeletal system often develop gradually – unnoticed and without noticeable pain. The consequences only become apparent later in life in the form of lameness, chronic pain or restricted movement.

With our puppy prevention program, you have the opportunity to act proactively and identify potential undesirable developments at an early stage – even before the first symptoms appear. This is exactly where our scientifically based program comes in: Using the latest movement analysis technologies, we detect the smallest deviations in gait and create individual prevention plans for your puppy.

Sample questions that we answer:

  • What is the best diet for my puppy’s growth?
  • How long can my puppy walk without showing symptoms of overexertion?
  • Why does my puppy walk at an angle or tilt when sitting?
  • Is the pass gait genetic?

The orthopaedic and kinematic examination of your puppy aims to promote even skeletal growth and reduce or prevent diseases such as hip and elbow dysplasia, panostitis or OCD. All findings are recorded in a detailed veterinary report and sent to you by e-mail.

Technical details of the program

Precise data, state-of-the-art technology and evidence-based evaluations

  • Kinematic movement analysis with the LupoGait system: Your puppy is fitted with lightweight sensors that record precise movement data. These measurements enable us to visualize the smallest asymmetries and incorrect loads
  • Focus on 12 movement parameters: The analysis concentrates on important movement characteristics such as stance and swing phases, symmetry, stability and the range of motion
  • Long-term monitoring: follow-up checks are carried out over several months to document the development of the musculoskeletal system and detect any abnormalities in good time
  • Additional radiological diagnostics (if required): If the kinematic data show abnormalities, a targeted radiological examination may be recommended for further clarification
  • Safe & stress-free: The entire examination is non-invasive, gentle and is carried out with your puppy’s well-being in mind
